G Woodhouse Ltd is a local plumbing and heating business with over 17 years' plumbing experience, resolving issues and providing a first-class service throughout Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
01 Who we are
We are a small local business rather than a national franchise, which means the person who quotes the job is the person who turns up to do it. Most of our work comes from repeat customers and recommendations across Nottingham — people who have had us back for a service every year since we fitted the boiler.
Our ethos is to carry out work to the highest of standards. That means diagnosing the real problem rather than replacing the most expensive part, explaining what we found in language that makes sense, and leaving the place as we found it.
Whether it is a dripping tap, an annual boiler service, a full central heating system or a bathroom taken back to brick, the standard is the same.
02 How we work
The goal is always to be efficient and help you save money — but never by compromising on safety. Gas work is notifiable by law and must be carried out by a registered engineer, and there is no version of the job where that gets skipped.
Quotes are readily available should you wish to have your work priced. You should know the number before the work happens, not after — and if a repair will do instead of a replacement, we will tell you.
Customers who had a boiler installed years ago still have the same person servicing it. That only works if the work was right the first time, which is a reasonable measure of a plumber.

Gary just completed the installation of our new boiler — did a fantastic job. The old boiler was 50 plus years old with tanks in the loft and a big immersion water cylinder. Everything stripped out, new combi boiler installed. Punctual, professional, new boiler works and looks great. Completed per agreed time frame, very tidy, and the brickwork where the old large flue was is bricked up with matching bricks so you cannot even see any evidence of the old hole. Would highly recommend.
Called on Christmas Eve with a leak in the heating system and Gary made himself available at a time that worked for me. Gary was friendly, professional, clearly knew what he was doing, fixed the issue quickly and to a high standard, and the price was very fair. Would definitely recommend.
Gary Woodhouse installed our complete central heating system and all the plumbing in a 4m extension we built. He has serviced the boiler for 8 years since he installed it and it has been working beautifully. His workmanship is of a very high standard and he does not tolerate shoddy work. His prices are very reasonable and competitive.
My boiler was very troubled and stopped working one week before Christmas. Despite having had a very busy day already, Gary made the effort to come out on the same day I called him and worked quickly and efficiently to make sure we have hot water and heat over Christmas and beyond.
